About implants

Fees

For patients covered by Specialised Dental Care, a large proportion of the costs of consultation and treatment may be reimbursed under the basic insurance policy. However, a statutory excess applies. Your dentist must submit a claim to your health insurer in advance.

For people with a full set of dentures, in selected cases two implants in the lower jaw are covered by basic health insurance, making it possible to have a snap-on denture.

For patients without an indication for Specialised Dentistry, implantological treatments mostly fall under the supplementary dental insurance. The exact reimbursement depends on your policy.

Preliminary budget

Before any treatment, you will receive a written estimate setting out the expected costs. We will only commence treatment once you have given your consent. This ensures you will never face any unexpected costs. It is important to note, however, that the cost of the initial implantology consultation will always be charged, even if treatment proves not to be possible or if you decide against it.

You can find the current dental care fees on the website of the Dutch Healthcare Authority.
