Treatment
With All-on-4 or All-on-6, a full fixed dental arch rests on four or six implants per jaw. It is intended for patients with complete dentures or severely neglected dentition. Bone grafting is often unnecessary.
You will be referred by your dentist. We will assess your situation and take X-rays. Based on this, we will draw up a personalised treatment plan.
The implant is inserted into the jaw under local anaesthetic.
The implant fuses with the jawbone. This takes longer if bone grafting is required.
Your own dentist will fit the permanent crown and carry out regular check-ups.
Dental implants are not usually covered by basic health insurance. There are exceptions, for example in the case of a serious congenital abnormality, following an accident or in the case of certain medical conditions. In such cases, prior authorisation from the health insurer is required.
Many supplementary dental insurance policies cover part of the costs. The amount varies considerably depending on the insurer and the policy.
