What is an implant?

A permanent solution for a full set of teeth

A dental implant is an artificial root made of titanium that is placed in the jawbone and serves as a replacement for missing teeth. The implant fuses with the jawbone, thereby providing a stable, long-lasting foundation for a crown, bridge or snap-on denture.

An overview of the most common treatments we carry out. For each treatment, we work in accordance with the applicable NZa tariffs.

A new tooth in under an hour

Extraction of the tooth, followed by immediate placement of the implant with a temporary crown. A treatment option for people with an incisor or canine that needs to be removed.

Benefits

Just one treatment: the tooth is removed, the implant is placed immediately – including bone grafting – and a temporary crown is fitted straight away. You’ll leave our clinic with a new fixed tooth within an hour.

We work closely with other medical specialists within the hospital, such as maxillofacial surgeons and orthodontists. For patients with complex dental problems, this multidisciplinary approach provides the right expertise.
